Oliver is the Chairman of Stichting Grotius. He has master’s degrees in both science (M.S. Microbiology) and law (LL.M. in Forensics, Criminology & Law). He holds a Ph.D. from the Netherlands and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the Philippines. He runs his own consultancy company on holistic leadership and is an of counsel of Arzaga & Associates Attorneys-at-Law. He has developed leadership courses such as Back-to-the-Basics, Principled Leadership Course and the Grotius Leadership Course.
He has served as a consultant at the House of Representatives (Philippines), a special consultant to a faculty of law, and an informal consultant to various family businesses and leadership undertakings. He speaks in conferences, gives talks and classes on integral formation, and serves as a mentor to various individuals. At the organizational level, he deals with project management and development, and building and strengthening governance structures.
He used to hike mountains regularly in the Philippines. In the Netherlands, he has to settle for the hilly landscape of Maastricht.
