An evening with someone who has carried real responsibility: a talk, a Q&A, and a borrel afterwards. Free, once a month.

That is what LITE stands for, and what an evening is made of: a talk by the guest, a Q&A with the room, and a borrel afterwards. Free to attend, in Maastricht.
We ask each speaker to talk about the insights, tips and experiences gathered in their own role as a leader. Most begin with who they are — their family, the company they work at, an anecdote or two.
We ask them to spend no more than fifteen minutes on the company itself. The rest of the evening belongs to their own journey: the virtues they lean on, and what they believe actually accounts for what they have achieved.

LITE is free and open. You do not need to belong to anything, and you do not need to know anyone in the room to come.
The guest has held real responsibility — a company, a command, a public office — and speaks about it plainly, including the parts that went badly.
Most of the room is early in working life: students, young professionals, people deciding what kind of leader they intend to become.
Exceptional events rich in valuable insights. Congratulations to the Grotius Leadership Institute team for a job well done.
Felt like being in an MBA management course — great to learn and recognise.
Every evening so far — the guest, the subject, and the poster the evening was announced with.

Every LITE stands or falls on the person at the front of the room. We look for people who have carried responsibility and are willing to talk about it honestly — what it asked of them, where their judgement failed, what they would do differently.
If that is you, or someone in your company, write to us. A short note about the subject you would want to take on is enough to start the conversation.
We answer every note ourselves — usually within a few days.
GLI is a project of Stichting Grotius, an ANBI-registered Dutch foundation. Every contribution is tax-deductible in the Netherlands.
