My name is Elena Maria Ripani, and I am an Italian student at Maastricht University with a strong interest in European affairs, economics, and the ways in which good policies can create meaningful opportunities for society. I believe that collaboration and open dialogue are essential for addressing today’s global challenges.
Outside my studies, I enjoy helping organize educational and community activities that create welcoming spaces where children and teenagers can learn and grow together. These experiences have strengthened my belief in the importance of service, responsibility, and leading by example.
I am part of the Media Team at the Van Reigersberch Leadership Institute, where I contribute creatively while collaborating with people who share a commitment to service, teamwork, and personal growth.
I decided to be part of this project because I was motivated by its vision of developing leaders through virtue, responsibility, and community. I believe that leadership is not only about achieving results but also about acting with integrity, supporting others, and making decisions that have a positive impact. Being part of Stichting Grotius allows me to challenge myself, learn from inspiring people, and contribute to a community built on shared values.
Looking ahead, I hope to pursue a career in international affairs, where I can contribute to initiatives that strengthen cooperation and promote sustainable development. Above all, I aspire to become someone who leads with integrity, empathy, and a genuine sense of responsibility, using those values to inspire others and create meaningful and lasting change.
Formation that lasts a lifetime is only possible with those who make it possible.
